Sample size

In our municipality we started a project in order to get an idea of how many people suffer from smoke because of wood fires from in their neighbourhood.

So far we have over 100 responses from citizens, of the 45.000 inhabitants (or around 20.000 households).
The municipality contains to major villages (14.000 and 16.000 inhabitants), and some 10 smaller villages.

How many responses would we need before being able to draw reliable conclusions? Could anyone give an estimate?
