It's an initiative designed to make health research more inclusive and impactful by integrating the insights and experiences of the broader community The JoinUs4Health consortium was comprised of eleven partners from three European Member States Germany, the Netherlands and Poland. JoinUs4Health is funded by the Horizon 2020 Framework Programme of the European Union under Grant Agreement No. 101006518.

The aim of the JoinUs4Health project was to harness the power of citizen science in public health research. By engaging citizens not only as participants but as active contributors in the research process, the project sought to tackle health issues more effectively. It aimed to create a collaborative environment where the public could contribute to health science, thus enhancing the relevance and impact of research outcomes on community health. The project included institutional changes at three medical universities related to citizen science and RRI. A platform for collaboration with researchers was also created, as well as a number of interesting forms of collaboration with young people in this area were tried, e.g. hackathons, podcasts, lessons in schools on topics related to cohort studies, citizen science and RRI.
